Gerolimenas
Gerolimenas is a seaside settlement of the Municipality of East Mani, Prefecture of Laconia. According to the population census of 2011, the settlement had 43 permanent inhabitants. The settlement’s name is probably owed to the fact that it was considered a sacred port. It was the seaport of the ancient cities of Laconia, Messa and Ippola located at the north-western side of the settlement as it is found today. In the past it was called “Limenas” in the local dialect of Mani.
